CHD6-TSHZ2 Fusion FISH Probe
The CHD6-TSHZ2 Fusion FISH Probe is used to confirm a fusion of the CHD6 and TSHZ2 genes. The fusion of the CHD6 and TSHZ2 genes has been associated with Breast Invasive Carcinoma. These probes are FISH confirmed on normal peripheral blood in both interphase nuclei and metaphase spreads before shipment. Typical turnaround time for this product is 7-14 days after purchase.
** This product is for in vitro and research use only. This product is not intended for diagnostic use. Please note that both genes fall on the same chromosome and inter-chromosomal detection may be difficult to detect depending on the genes proximity to one another. Please consult our support staff before ordering this product to ensure that the probe can be designed to meet your specific needs.

CHD6 Gene Summary
This gene encodes a member of the SNF2/RAD54 helicase protein family. The encoded protein contains two chromodomains, a helicase domain, and an ATPase domain. Several multi-subunit protein complexes remodel chromatin to allow patterns of cell type-specific gene expression, and the encoded protein is thought to be a core member of one or more of these chromatin remodeling complexes. The encoded protein may function as a transcriptional repressor and is involved in the cellular repression of influenza virus replication. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2013]
Gene Name: Chromodomain Helicase DNA Binding Protein 6
Chromosome: CHR20: 40031169 -40247133
Locus: 20q12
TSHZ2 Gene Summary
This gene is a member of the teashirt C2H2-type zinc-finger protein family of transcription factors. This gene encodes a protein with five C2H2-type zinc fingers, a homeobox DNA-binding domain and a coiled-coil domain. This nuclear protein is predicted to act as a transcriptional repressor. This gene is thought to play a role in the development and progression of breast and other types of cancer. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms. [provided by RefSeq, Dec 2016]
Gene Name: Teashirt Zinc Finger Homeobox 2
Chromosome: CHR20: 51588945 -52111869
Locus: 20q13.2
