CHCHD3-ITPKA Fusion FISH Probe
The CHCHD3-ITPKA Fusion FISH Probe is used to confirm a fusion of the CHCHD3 and ITPKA genes. The fusion of the CHCHD3 and ITPKA genes has been associated with Colon Adenocarcinoma. These probes are FISH confirmed on normal peripheral blood in both interphase nuclei and metaphase spreads before shipment. Typical turnaround time for this product is 7-14 days after purchase.

ITPKA Gene Summary
Regulates inositol phosphate metabolism by phosphorylation of second messenger inositol 1,4,5-trisphosphate to Ins(1,3,4,5)P4. The activity of the inositol 1,4,5-trisphosphate 3-kinase is responsible for regulating the levels of a large number of inositol polyphosphates that are important in cellular signaling. Both calcium/calmodulin and protein phosphorylation mechanisms control its activity. It is also a substrate for the cyclic AMP-dependent protein kinase, calcium/calmodulin- dependent protein kinase II, and protein kinase C in vitro.[provided by RefSeq, Apr 2011]
Gene Name: Inositol-trisphosphate 3-kinase A
Chromosome: CHR15: 41786055 -41795757
Locus: 15q15.1
CHCHD3 Gene Summary
The protein encoded by this gene is an inner mitochondrial membrane scaffold protein. Absence of the encoded protein affects the structural integrity of mitochondrial cristae and leads to reductions in ATP production, cell growth, and oxygen consumption. This protein is part of the mitochondrial contact site and cristae organizing system (MICOS). Several transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Nov 2015]
Gene Name: Coiled-coil-helix-coiled-coil-helix Domain Containing 3
Chromosome: CHR7: 132469622 -132766828
Locus: 7q32.3-q33
