CDKL1-ATL1 Fusion FISH Probe
The CDKL1-ATL1 Fusion FISH Probe is used to confirm a fusion of the CDKL1 and ATL1 genes. The fusion of the CDKL1 and ATL1 genes has been associated with Ovarian Serous Cystadenocarcinoma. These probes are FISH confirmed on normal peripheral blood in both interphase nuclei and metaphase spreads before shipment. Typical turnaround time for this product is 7-14 days after purchase.
** This product is for in vitro and research use only. This product is not intended for diagnostic use. Please note that both genes fall on the same chromosome and inter-chromosomal detection may be difficult to detect depending on the genes proximity to one another. Please consult our support staff before ordering this product to ensure that the probe can be designed to meet your specific needs.

CDKL1 Gene Summary
This gene product is a member of a large family of CDC2-related serine/threonine protein kinases. It accumulates primarily in the nucleus. Two transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Aug 2013]
Gene Name: Cyclin Dependent Kinase Like 1
Chromosome: CHR14: 50796719 -50862617
Locus: 14q21.3
ATL1 Gene Summary
The protein encoded by this gene is a GTPase and a Golgi body transmembrane protein. The encoded protein can form a homotetramer and has been shown to interact with spastin and with mitogen-activated protein kinase kinase kinase kinase 4. This protein may be involved in axonal maintenance as evidenced by the fact that defects in this gene are a cause of spastic paraplegia type 3. Three transcript variants encoding two different isoforms have been found for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]
Gene Name: Atlastin GTPase 1
Chromosome: CHR14: 50999799 -51099784
Locus: 14q22.1
