CDK7-RIN3 Fusion FISH Probe
The CDK7-RIN3 Fusion FISH Probe is used to confirm a fusion of the CDK7 and RIN3 genes. The fusion of the CDK7 and RIN3 genes has been associated with Prostate Adenocarcinoma. These probes are FISH confirmed on normal peripheral blood in both interphase nuclei and metaphase spreads before shipment. Typical turnaround time for this product is 7-14 days after purchase.

CDK7 Gene Summary
The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the cyclin-dependent protein kinase (CDK) family. CDK family members are highly similar to the gene products of Saccharomyces cerevisiae cdc28, and Schizosaccharomyces pombe cdc2, and are known to be important regulators of cell cycle progression. This protein forms a trimeric complex with cyclin H and MAT1, which functions as a Cdk-activating kinase (CAK). It is an essential component of the transcription factor TFIIH, that is involved in transcription initiation and DNA repair. This protein is thought to serve as a direct link between the regulation of transcription and the cell cycle. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]
Gene Name: Cyclin Dependent Kinase 7
Chromosome: CHR5: 68530621 -68573257
Locus: 5q13.2
RIN3 Gene Summary
Summary: This protein encoded by this gene is a member of the RIN family of Ras interaction-interference proteins, which are binding partners to the RAB5 small GTPases. The protein functions as a guanine nucleotide exchange for RAB5B and RAB31. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants. [provided by RefSeq, Feb 2016]
Gene Name: Ras And Rab Interactor 3
Chromosome: CHR14: 92980124 -93155334
