CDK13-ADCY1 Fusion FISH Probe
The CDK13-ADCY1 Fusion FISH Probe is used to confirm a fusion of the CDK13 and ADCY1 genes. The fusion of the CDK13 and ADCY1 genes has been associated with Sarcoma. These probes are FISH confirmed on normal peripheral blood in both interphase nuclei and metaphase spreads before shipment. Typical turnaround time for this product is 7-14 days after purchase.
** This product is for in vitro and research use only. This product is not intended for diagnostic use. Please note that both genes fall on the same chromosome and inter-chromosomal detection may be difficult to detect depending on the genes proximity to one another. Please consult our support staff before ordering this product to ensure that the probe can be designed to meet your specific needs.

ADCY1 Gene Summary
This gene encodes a member of the of adenylate cyclase gene family that is primarily expressed in the brain. This protein is regulated by calcium/calmodulin concentration and may be involved in brain development. Alternate splicing results in multiple transcript variants. [provided by RefSeq, Aug 2013]
Gene Name: Adenylate Cyclase 1
Chromosome: CHR7: 45614124 -45762714
Locus: 7p12.3
CDK13 Gene Summary
The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the cyclin-dependent serine/threonine protein kinase family. Members of this family are well known for their essential roles as master switches in cell cycle control. The exact function of this protein has not yet been determined, but it may play a role in mRNA processing and may be involved in regulation of hematopoiesis. Alternatively spliced transcript variants have been described.[provided by RefSeq, Dec 2009]
Gene Name: Cyclin Dependent Kinase 13
Chromosome: CHR7: 39989958 -40136733
Locus: 7p14.1
