CDC42EP4-NEUROD2 Fusion FISH Probe
The CDC42EP4-NEUROD2 Fusion FISH Probe is used to confirm a fusion of the CDC42EP4 and NEUROD2 genes. The fusion of the CDC42EP4 and NEUROD2 genes has been associated with Breast Invasive Carcinoma. These probes are FISH confirmed on normal peripheral blood in both interphase nuclei and metaphase spreads before shipment. Typical turnaround time for this product is 7-14 days after purchase.
** This product is for in vitro and research use only. This product is not intended for diagnostic use. Please note that both genes fall on the same chromosome and inter-chromosomal detection may be difficult to detect depending on the genes proximity to one another. Please consult our support staff before ordering this product to ensure that the probe can be designed to meet your specific needs.

NEUROD2 Gene Summary
This gene encodes a member of the neuroD family of neurogenic basic helix-loop-helix (bHLH) proteins. Expression of this gene can induce transcription from neuron-specific promoters, such as the GAP-43 promoter, which contain a specific DNA sequence known as an E-box. The product of the human gene can induce neurogenic differentiation in non-neuronal cells in Xenopus embryos, and is thought to play a role in the determination and maintenance of neuronal cell fates. Gene Name: Neuronal Differentiation 2
Chromosome: CHR17: 37760020 -37764175
Locus: 17q12
CDC42EP4 Gene Summary
The product of this gene is a member of the CDC42-binding protein family. Members of this family interact with Rho family GTPases and regulate the organization of the actin cytoskeleton. This protein has been shown to bind both CDC42 and TC10 GTPases in a GTP-dependent manner. When overexpressed in fibroblasts, this protein was able to induce pseudopodia formation, which suggested a role in inducing actin filament assembly and cell shape control. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]
Gene Name: CDC42 Effector Protein 4
Chromosome: CHR17: 71279762 -71308143
Locus: 17q25.1
