CCT2-CACNG3 Fusion FISH Probe
The CCT2-CACNG3 Fusion FISH Probe is used to confirm a fusion of the CCT2 and CACNG3 genes. The fusion of the CCT2 and CACNG3 genes has been associated with Sarcoma. These probes are FISH confirmed on normal peripheral blood in both interphase nuclei and metaphase spreads before shipment. Typical turnaround time for this product is 7-14 days after purchase.

CACNG3 Gene Summary
The protein encoded by this gene is a type I transmembrane AMPA receptor regulatory protein (TARP). TARPs regulate both trafficking and channel gating of the AMPA receptors. This gene is part of a functionally diverse eight-member protein subfamily of the PMP-22/EMP/MP20 family. This gene is a susceptibility locus for childhood absence epilepsy. Gene Name: Calcium Voltage-gated Channel Auxiliary Subunit Gamma 3
Chromosome: CHR16: 24266873 -24373737
Locus: 16p12.1
CCT2 Gene Summary
The protein encoded by this gene is a molecular chaperone that is a member of the chaperonin containing TCP1 complex (CCT), also known as the TCP1 ring complex (TRiC). This complex consists of two identical stacked rings, each containing eight different proteins. Unfolded polypeptides enter the central cavity of the complex and are folded in an ATP-dependent manner. The complex folds various proteins, including actin and tubulin. Two transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Nov 2010]
Gene Name: Chaperonin Containing TCP1 Subunit 2
Chromosome: CHR12: 69979207 -69995357
Locus: 12q15
