The CCDC57-CSNK1D Fusion FISH Probe is used to confirm a fusion of the CCDC57 and CSNK1D genes. The fusion of the CCDC57 and CSNK1D genes has been associated with Lung Squamous Cell Carcinoma, Uterine Corpus Endometrial Carcinoma, and Liver Hepatocellular Carcinoma. These probes are FISH confirmed on normal peripheral blood in both interphase nuclei and metaphase spreads before shipment. Typical turnaround time for this product is 7-14 days after purchase.

This gene is a member of the casein kinase I (CKI) gene family whose members have been implicated in the control of cytoplasmic and nuclear processes, including DNA replication and repair. The encoded protein may also be involved in the regulation of apoptosis, circadian rhythm, microtubule dynamics, chromosome segregation, and p53-mediated effects on growth.
