CASZ1-PRKD2 Fusion FISH Probe
The CASZ1-PRKD2 Fusion FISH Probe is used to confirm a fusion of the CASZ1 and PRKD2 genes. The fusion of the CASZ1 and PRKD2 genes has been associated with Prostate Adenocarcinoma. These probes are FISH confirmed on normal peripheral blood in both interphase nuclei and metaphase spreads before shipment. Typical turnaround time for this product is 7-14 days after purchase.

PRKD2 Gene Summary
The protein encoded by this gene belongs to the protein kinase D (PKD) family of serine/threonine protein kinases. This kinase can be activated by phorbol esters as well as by gastrin via the cholecystokinin B receptor (CCKBR) in gastric cancer cells. It can bind to diacylglycerol (DAG) in the trans-Golgi network (TGN) and may regulate basolateral membrane protein exit from TGN. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]
Gene Name: Protein Kinase D2
Chromosome: CHR19: 47177572 -47220384
Locus: 19q13.32
CASZ1 Gene Summary
The protein encoded by this gene is a zinc finger transcription factor. The encoded protein may function as a tumor suppressor, and single nucleotide polymorphisms in this gene are associated with blood pressure variation. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants that encode different protein isoforms. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2012]
Gene Name: Castor Zinc Finger 1
Chromosome: CHR1: 10696665 -10856707
Locus: 1p36.22
