CASZ1-MTOR Fusion FISH Probe
The CASZ1-MTOR Fusion FISH Probe is used to confirm a fusion of the CASZ1 and MTOR genes. The fusion of the CASZ1 and MTOR genes has been associated with Stomach Adenocarcinoma. These probes are FISH confirmed on normal peripheral blood in both interphase nuclei and metaphase spreads before shipment. Typical turnaround time for this product is 7-14 days after purchase.
** This product is for in vitro and research use only. This product is not intended for diagnostic use. Please note that both genes fall on the same chromosome and inter-chromosomal detection may be difficult to detect depending on the genes proximity to one another. Please consult our support staff before ordering this product to ensure that the probe can be designed to meet your specific needs.

MTOR Gene Summary
The protein encoded by this gene belongs to a family of phosphatidylinositol kinase-related kinases. These kinases mediate cellular responses to stresses such as DNA damage and nutrient deprivation. This protein acts as the target for the cell-cycle arrest and immunosuppressive effects of the FKBP12-rapamycin complex. The ANGPTL7 gene is located in an intron of this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Sep 2008]
Gene Name: Mechanistic Target Of Rapamycin Kinase
Chromosome: CHR1: 11166587 -11322608
Locus: 1p36.22
CASZ1 Gene Summary
The protein encoded by this gene is a zinc finger transcription factor. The encoded protein may function as a tumor suppressor, and single nucleotide polymorphisms in this gene are associated with blood pressure variation. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants that encode different protein isoforms. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2012]
Gene Name: Castor Zinc Finger 1
Chromosome: CHR1: 10696665 -10856707
Locus: 1p36.22
