CAMK2D-STAC3 Fusion FISH Probe
The CAMK2D-STAC3 Fusion FISH Probe is used to confirm a fusion of the CAMK2D and STAC3 genes. The fusion of the CAMK2D and STAC3 genes has been associated with Uterine Corpus Endometrial Carcinoma. These probes are FISH confirmed on normal peripheral blood in both interphase nuclei and metaphase spreads before shipment. Typical turnaround time for this product is 7-14 days after purchase.

CAMK2D Gene Summary
The product of this gene belongs to the serine/threonine protein kinase family and to the Ca(2+)/calmodulin-dependent protein kinase subfamily. Calcium signaling is crucial for several aspects of plasticity at glutamatergic synapses. In mammalian cells, the enzyme is composed of four different chains: alpha, beta, gamma, and delta. The product of this gene is a delta chain. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants encoding distinct isoforms. Distinct isoforms of this chain have different expression patterns.[provided by RefSeq, Nov 2008]
Gene Name: Calcium/calmodulin Dependent Protein Kinase II Delta
Chromosome: CHR4: 114372187 -114683083
Locus: 4q26
STAC3 Gene Summary
The protein encoded by this gene is a component of the excitation-contraction coupling machinery of muscles. This protein is a member of the Stac gene family and contains an N-terminal cysteine-rich domain and two SH3 domains. Mutations in this gene are a cause of Native American myopathy.
