BGN-ANXA1 Fusion FISH Probe
The BGN-ANXA1 Fusion FISH Probe is used to confirm a fusion of the BGN and ANXA1 genes. The fusion of the BGN and ANXA1 genes has been associated with Cervical Squamous Cell Carcinoma And Endocervical Adenocarcinoma. These probes are FISH confirmed on normal peripheral blood in both interphase nuclei and metaphase spreads before shipment. Typical turnaround time for this product is 7-14 days after purchase.
** This product is for in vitro and research use only. This product is not intended for diagnostic use.

ANXA1 Gene Summary
This gene encodes a membrane-localized protein that binds phospholipids. This protein inhibits phospholipase A2 and has anti-inflammatory activity. Loss of function or expression of this gene has been detected in multiple tumors. [provided by RefSeq, Dec 2014]
Gene Name: Annexin A1
Chromosome: CHR9: 75766780 -75785307
Locus: 9q21.13
BGN Gene Summary
This gene encodes a member of the small leucine-rich proteoglycan (SLRP) family of proteins. The encoded preproprotein is proteolytically processed to generate the mature protein, which plays a role in bone growth, muscle development and regeneration, and collagen fibril assembly in multiple tissues. This protein may also regulate inflammation and innate immunity. Additionally, the encoded protein may contribute to atherosclerosis and aortic valve stenosis in human patients. This gene and the related gene decorin are thought to be the result of a gene duplication. [provided by RefSeq, Nov 2015]
Gene Name: Biglycan
Chromosome: CHRX: 152760346 -152775004
Locus: Xq28
