BAZ2B-ITGB6 Fusion FISH Probe
The BAZ2B-ITGB6 Fusion FISH Probe is used to confirm a fusion of the BAZ2B and ITGB6 genes. The fusion of the BAZ2B and ITGB6 genes has been associated with Uterine Corpus Endometrial Carcinoma. These probes are FISH confirmed on normal peripheral blood in both interphase nuclei and metaphase spreads before shipment. Typical turnaround time for this product is 7-14 days after purchase.
** This product is for in vitro and research use only. This product is not intended for diagnostic use. Please note that both genes fall on the same chromosome and inter-chromosomal detection may be difficult to detect depending on the genes proximity to one another. Please consult our support staff before ordering this product to ensure that the probe can be designed to meet your specific needs.

ITGB6 Gene Summary
This gene encodes a protein that is a member of the integrin superfamily. Members of this family are adhesion receptors that function in signaling from the extracellular matrix to the cell. Integrins are heterodimeric integral membrane proteins composed of an alpha chain and a beta chain. The encoded protein forms a dimer with an alpha v chain and this heterodimer can bind to ligands like fibronectin and transforming growth factor beta 1. Alternate splicing results in multiple transcript variants. [provided by RefSeq, Sep 2013]
Gene Name: Integrin Subunit Beta 6
Chromosome: CHR2: 160958232 -161056590
Locus: 2q24.2
BAZ2B Gene Summary
This gene belongs to the bromodomain gene family. Members of this gene family encode proteins that are integral components of chromatin remodeling complexes. The encoded protein showed strong preference for the activating H3K14Ac mark in a histone peptide screen, suggesting a potential role in transcriptional activation. This gene may be associated with susceptibility to sudden cardiac death (SCD). [provided by RefSeq, Aug 2016]
Gene Name: Bromodomain Adjacent To Zinc Finger Domain 2B
Chromosome: CHR2: 160175489 -160473059
Locus: 2q24.2
