AVIL-TRHDE Fusion FISH Probe

The AVIL-TRHDE Fusion FISH Probe is used to confirm a fusion of the AVIL and TRHDE genes. The fusion of the AVIL and TRHDE genes has been associated with Skin Cutaneous Melanoma. These probes are FISH confirmed on normal peripheral blood in both interphase nuclei and metaphase spreads before shipment. Typical turnaround time for this product is 7-14 days after purchase.

** This product is for in vitro and research use only. This product is not intended for diagnostic use. Please note that both genes fall on the same chromosome and inter-chromosomal detection may be difficult to detect depending on the genes proximity to one another. Please consult our support staff before ordering this product to ensure that the probe can be designed to meet your specific needs.

Turnaround Time: 7-10 Business Days    Shipping Time: 1-2 Day Expedited Shipping

AVIL Gene Summary

The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the gelsolin/villin family of actin regulatory proteins. This protein has structural similarity to villin. It binds actin and may play a role in the development of neuronal cells that form ganglia. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]

Gene Name: Advillin

Chromosome: CHR12: 58191159 -58209852

Locus: 12q14.1

TRHDE Gene Summary

This gene encodes a member of the peptidase M1 family. The encoded protein is an extracellular peptidase that specifically cleaves and inactivates the neuropeptide thyrotropin-releasing hormone.[provided by RefSeq, Dec 2008]

Gene Name: Thyrotropin Releasing Hormone Degrading Enzyme

Chromosome: CHR12: 72666528 -73059422

Locus: 12q21.1
