ATRN-UQCRB Fusion FISH Probe
The ATRN-UQCRB Fusion FISH Probe is used to confirm a fusion of the ATRN and UQCRB genes. The fusion of the ATRN and UQCRB genes has been associated with Sarcoma, and Sarcoma. These probes are FISH confirmed on normal peripheral blood in both interphase nuclei and metaphase spreads before shipment. Typical turnaround time for this product is 7-14 days after purchase.

UQCRB Gene Summary
This gene encodes a subunit of the ubiquinol-cytochrome c oxidoreductase complex, which consists of one mitochondrial-encoded and 10 nuclear-encoded subunits. The protein encoded by this gene binds ubiquinone and participates in the transfer of electrons when ubiquinone is bound. This protein plays an important role in hypoxia-induced angiogenesis through mitochondrial reactive oxygen species-mediated signaling. Mutations in this gene are associated with mitochondrial complex III deficiency. Alternatively spliced transcript variants have been found for this gene. Related pseudogenes have been identified on chromosomes 1, 5 and X. [provided by RefSeq, Dec 2011]
Gene Name: Ubiquinol-cytochrome C Reductase Binding Protein
Chromosome: CHR8: 97239303 -97247862
Locus: 8q22.1
ATRN Gene Summary
This gene encodes both membrane-bound and secreted protein isoforms. A membrane-bound isoform exhibits sequence similarity with the mouse mahogany protein, a receptor involved in controlling obesity. A secreted isoform is involved in the initial immune cell clustering during inflammatory responses that may regulate the chemotactic activity of chemokines. [provided by RefSeq, Apr 2016]
Gene Name: Attractin
Chromosome: CHR20: 3451664 -3631769
Locus: 20p13
