ATAD1-JMJD1C Fusion FISH Probe
The ATAD1-JMJD1C Fusion FISH Probe is used to confirm a fusion of the ATAD1 and JMJD1C genes. The fusion of the ATAD1 and JMJD1C genes has been associated with Prostate Adenocarcinoma. These probes are FISH confirmed on normal peripheral blood in both interphase nuclei and metaphase spreads before shipment. Typical turnaround time for this product is 7-14 days after purchase.
** This product is for in vitro and research use only. This product is not intended for diagnostic use. Please note that both genes fall on the same chromosome and inter-chromosomal detection may be difficult to detect depending on the genes proximity to one another. Please consult our support staff before ordering this product to ensure that the probe can be designed to meet your specific needs.

ATAD1 Gene Summary
The ATPase Family, AAA Domain Containing 1 (ATAD1) gene is located on chr10 :89512874-89577917 at 10q23.31.
Gene Name: ATPase Family, AAA Domain Containing 1
Chromosome: CHR10: 89512874 -89577917
Locus: 10q23.31
JMJD1C Gene Summary
The protein encoded by this gene interacts with thyroid hormone receptors and contains a jumonji domain. It is a candidate histone demethylase and is thought to be a coactivator for key transcription factors. It plays a role in the DNA-damage response pathway by demethylating the mediator of DNA damage checkpoint 1 (MDC1) protein, and is required for the survival of acute myeloid leukemia. Mutations in this gene are associated with Rett syndrome and intellectual disability. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants. [provided by RefSeq, Dec 2015]
