ASH1L-RIT1 Fusion FISH Probe
The ASH1L-RIT1 Fusion FISH Probe is used to confirm a fusion of the ASH1L and RIT1 genes. The fusion of the ASH1L and RIT1 genes has been associated with Sarcoma. These probes are FISH confirmed on normal peripheral blood in both interphase nuclei and metaphase spreads before shipment. Typical turnaround time for this product is 7-14 days after purchase.
** This product is for in vitro and research use only. This product is not intended for diagnostic use. Please note that both genes fall on the same chromosome and inter-chromosomal detection may be difficult to detect depending on the genes proximity to one another. Please consult our support staff before ordering this product to ensure that the probe can be designed to meet your specific needs.

RIT1 Gene Summary
This gene encodes a member of a subfamily of Ras-related GTPases. The encoded protein is involved in regulating p38 MAPK-dependent signaling cascades related to cellular stress. This protein also cooperates with nerve growth factor to promote neuronal development and regeneration. Alternate splicing results in multiple transcript variants. [provided by RefSeq, Feb 2012]
Gene Name: Ras Like Without CAAX 1
Chromosome: CHR1: 155867600 -155881177
Locus: 1q22
ASH1L Gene Summary
This gene encodes a member of the trithorax group of transcriptional activators. The protein contains four AT hooks, a SET domain, a PHD-finger motif, and a bromodomain. It is localized to many small speckles in the nucleus, and also to cell-cell tight junctions. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]
Gene Name: ASH1 Like Histone Lysine Methyltransferase
Chromosome: CHR1: 155305051 -155532324
Locus: 1q22
