ASH1L-AIM2 Fusion FISH Probe
The ASH1L-AIM2 Fusion FISH Probe is used to confirm a fusion of the ASH1L and AIM2 genes. The fusion of the ASH1L and AIM2 genes has been associated with Breast Invasive Carcinoma. These probes are FISH confirmed on normal peripheral blood in both interphase nuclei and metaphase spreads before shipment. Typical turnaround time for this product is 7-14 days after purchase.
** This product is for in vitro and research use only. This product is not intended for diagnostic use. Please note that both genes fall on the same chromosome and inter-chromosomal detection may be difficult to detect depending on the genes proximity to one another. Please consult our support staff before ordering this product to ensure that the probe can be designed to meet your specific needs.

AIM2 Gene Summary
AIM2 is a member of the IFI20X /IFI16 family. It plays a putative role in tumorigenic reversion and may control cell proliferation. Interferon-gamma induces expression of AIM2. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]
Gene Name: Absent In Melanoma 2
Chromosome: CHR1: 159032274 -159046647
Locus: 1q23.1-q23.2
ASH1L Gene Summary
This gene encodes a member of the trithorax group of transcriptional activators. The protein contains four AT hooks, a SET domain, a PHD-finger motif, and a bromodomain. It is localized to many small speckles in the nucleus, and also to cell-cell tight junctions. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]
Gene Name: ASH1 Like Histone Lysine Methyltransferase
Chromosome: CHR1: 155305051 -155532324
Locus: 1q22
