ASB8-NELL2 Fusion FISH Probe
The ASB8-NELL2 Fusion FISH Probe is used to confirm a fusion of the ASB8 and NELL2 genes. The fusion of the ASB8 and NELL2 genes has been associated with Lung Adenocarcinoma. These probes are FISH confirmed on normal peripheral blood in both interphase nuclei and metaphase spreads before shipment. Typical turnaround time for this product is 7-14 days after purchase.

NELL2 Gene Summary
The protein encoded by this gene is a glycoprotein containing several von Willebrand factor C domains and epidermal growth factor (EGF)-like domains. The encoded protein acts as a homotrimer and is found in the cytoplasm. Several variants encoding a few different isoforms exist, and at least one isoform appears to be a secreted protein.
