ASB1-SH3BP4 Fusion FISH Probe
The ASB1-SH3BP4 Fusion FISH Probe is used to confirm a fusion of the ASB1 and SH3BP4 genes. The fusion of the ASB1 and SH3BP4 genes has been associated with Skin Cutaneous Melanoma. These probes are FISH confirmed on normal peripheral blood in both interphase nuclei and metaphase spreads before shipment. Typical turnaround time for this product is 7-14 days after purchase.
** This product is for in vitro and research use only. This product is not intended for diagnostic use. Please note that both genes fall on the same chromosome and inter-chromosomal detection may be difficult to detect depending on the genes proximity to one another. Please consult our support staff before ordering this product to ensure that the probe can be designed to meet your specific needs.

SH3BP4 Gene Summary
This gene encodes a protein with 3 Asn-Pro-Phe (NPF) motifs, an SH3 domain, a PXXP motif, a bipartite nuclear targeting signal, and a tyrosine phosphorylation site. This protein is involved in cargo-specific control of clathrin-mediated endocytosis, specifically controlling the internalization of a specific protein receptor. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]
Gene Name: SH3 Domain Binding Protein 4
Chromosome: CHR2: 235860627 -235964358
Locus: 2q37.2
ASB1 Gene Summary
The protein encoded by this gene contains an ankyrin repeat sequence and SOCS box domain. The SOCS box serves to couple suppressor of cytokine signalling (SOCS) proteins and their binding partners with the elongin B and C complex, targeting them for ubiquitination and degradation. [provided by RefSeq, Aug 2016]
Gene Name: Ankyrin Repeat And SOCS Box Containing 1
Chromosome: CHR2: 239335625 -239360891
Locus: 2q37.3
