ART3-SLC25A13 Fusion FISH Probe
The ART3-SLC25A13 Fusion FISH Probe is used to confirm a fusion of the ART3 and SLC25A13 genes. The fusion of the ART3 and SLC25A13 genes has been associated with Lung Squamous Cell Carcinoma. These probes are FISH confirmed on normal peripheral blood in both interphase nuclei and metaphase spreads before shipment. Typical turnaround time for this product is 7-14 days after purchase.

ART3 Gene Summary
This gene encodes an arginine-specific ADP-ribosyltransferase. The encoded protein catalyzes a reversible reaction which modifies proteins by the addition or removal of ADP-ribose to an arginine residue to regulate the function of the modified protein. An ADP-ribosyltransferase pseudogene is located on chromosome 11. Multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Dec 2011]
Gene Name: ADP-ribosyltransferase 3
Chromosome: CHR4: 76932336 -77033955
Locus: 4p15.1-p14
SLC25A13 Gene Summary
This gene is a member of the mitochondrial carrier family. The encoded protein contains four EF-hand Ca(2+) binding motifs in the N-terminal domain, and localizes to mitochondria. The protein catalyzes the exchange of aspartate for glutamate and a proton across the inner mitochondrial membrane, and is stimulated by calcium on the external side of the inner mitochondrial membrane. Mutations in this gene result in citrullinemia, type II. Multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, May 2009]
Gene Name: Solute Carrier Family 25 Member 13
Chromosome: CHR7: 95749531 -95951459
Locus: 7q21.3
