ARRDC3-SGCD Fusion FISH Probe
The ARRDC3-SGCD Fusion FISH Probe is used to confirm a fusion of the ARRDC3 and SGCD genes. The fusion of the ARRDC3 and SGCD genes has been associated with Prostate Adenocarcinoma. These probes are FISH confirmed on normal peripheral blood in both interphase nuclei and metaphase spreads before shipment. Typical turnaround time for this product is 7-14 days after purchase.
** This product is for in vitro and research use only. This product is not intended for diagnostic use. Please note that both genes fall on the same chromosome and inter-chromosomal detection may be difficult to detect depending on the genes proximity to one another. Please consult our support staff before ordering this product to ensure that the probe can be designed to meet your specific needs.

SGCD Gene Summary
The protein encoded by this gene is one of the four known components of the sarcoglycan complex, which is a subcomplex of the dystrophin-glycoprotein complex (DGC). DGC forms a link between the F-actin cytoskeleton and the extracellular matrix. This protein is expressed most abundantly in skeletal and cardiac muscle. Mutations in this gene have been associated with autosomal recessive limb-girdle muscular dystrophy and dilated cardiomyopathy. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding distinct isoforms have been observed for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]
Gene Name: Sarcoglycan Delta
Chromosome: CHR5: 155753766 -156194798
Locus: 5q33.2-q33.3
ARRDC3 Gene Summary
This gene encodes a member of the arrestin family of proteins, which regulate G protein-mediated signaling. The encoded protein is thought to act as a regulator of breast cancer growth and progression by binding to a phosphorylated form of integrin beta4, a tumor-related antigen, targeting the integrin for internalization and degradation. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2016]
Gene Name: Arrestin Domain Containing 3
Chromosome: CHR5: 90664540 -90679149
Locus: 5q14.3
