ARID4B-SCCPDH Fusion FISH Probe
The ARID4B-SCCPDH Fusion FISH Probe is used to confirm a fusion of the ARID4B and SCCPDH genes. The fusion of the ARID4B and SCCPDH genes has been associated with Skin Cutaneous Melanoma. These probes are FISH confirmed on normal peripheral blood in both interphase nuclei and metaphase spreads before shipment. Typical turnaround time for this product is 7-14 days after purchase.
** This product is for in vitro and research use only. This product is not intended for diagnostic use. Please note that both genes fall on the same chromosome and inter-chromosomal detection may be difficult to detect depending on the genes proximity to one another. Please consult our support staff before ordering this product to ensure that the probe can be designed to meet your specific needs.

SCCPDH Gene Summary
The Saccharopine Dehydrogenase (putative) (SCCPDH) gene is located on chr1 :246887377-246931440 at 1q44.
Gene Name: Saccharopine Dehydrogenase (putative)
Chromosome: CHR1: 246887377 -246931440
Locus: 1q44
ARID4B Gene Summary
This gene encodes a protein with sequence similarity to retinoblastoma-binding protein-1. The encoded protein is a subunit of the histone deacetylase-dependant SIN3A transcriptional corepressor complex, which functions in diverse cellular processes including proliferation, differentiation, apoptosis, oncogenesis, and cell fate determination. The gene product is recognized by IgG antibody isolated from a breast cancer patient and appears to be a molecular marker associated with a broad range of human malignancies. Alternate transcriptional splice variants encoding different isoforms have been characterized. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]
Gene Name: AT-rich Interaction Domain 4B
Chromosome: CHR1: 235330209 -235491532
Locus: 1q42.3
