ARID3A-MORC2 Fusion FISH Probe
The ARID3A-MORC2 Fusion FISH Probe is used to confirm a fusion of the ARID3A and MORC2 genes. The fusion of the ARID3A and MORC2 genes has been associated with Uterine Corpus Endometrial Carcinoma. These probes are FISH confirmed on normal peripheral blood in both interphase nuclei and metaphase spreads before shipment. Typical turnaround time for this product is 7-14 days after purchase.

ARID3A Gene Summary
This gene encodes a member of the ARID (AT-rich interaction domain) family of DNA binding proteins. It was found by homology to the Drosophila dead ringer gene, which is important for normal embryogenesis. Other ARID family members have roles in embryonic patterning, cell lineage gene regulation, cell cycle control, transcriptional regulation, and possibly in chromatin structure modification. Gene Name: AT-rich Interaction Domain 3A
Chromosome: CHR19: 926036 -972803
Locus: 19p13.3
MORC2 Gene Summary
This gene encodes a member of the Microrchidia (MORC) protein superfamily. The encoded protein is known to regulate the condensation of heterochromatin in response to DNA damage and play a role in repressing transcription. The protein has been found to regulate the activity of ATP citrate lyase via specific interaction with this enzyme in the cytosol of lipogenic breast cancer cells. The protein also plays a role in lipogenesis and adipocyte differentiation. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms. [provided by RefSeq, Feb 2016]
Gene Name: MORC Family CW-type Zinc Finger 2
Chromosome: CHR22: 31322599 -31364187
Locus: 22q12.2
