ARHGEF1-UCKL1 Fusion FISH Probe
The ARHGEF1-UCKL1 Fusion FISH Probe is used to confirm a fusion of the ARHGEF1 and UCKL1 genes. The fusion of the ARHGEF1 and UCKL1 genes has been associated with Colon Adenocarcinoma, and Rectum Adenocarcinoma. These probes are FISH confirmed on normal peripheral blood in both interphase nuclei and metaphase spreads before shipment. Typical turnaround time for this product is 7-14 days after purchase.

ARHGEF1 Gene Summary
Rho GTPases play a fundamental role in numerous cellular processes that are initiated by extracellular stimuli that work through G protein coupled receptors. The encoded protein may form complex with G proteins and stimulate Rho-dependent signals. Multiple alternatively spliced transcript variants have been found for this gene, but the full-length nature of some variants has not been defined. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]
Gene Name: Rho Guanine Nucleotide Exchange Factor 1
Chromosome: CHR19: 42387266 -42411604
Locus: 19q13.2
UCKL1 Gene Summary
The protein encoded by this gene is a uridine kinase. Uridine kinases catalyze the phosphorylation of uridine to uridine monophosphate. This protein has been shown to bind to Epstein-Barr nuclear antigen 3 as well as natural killer lytic-associated molecule. Ubiquitination of this protein is enhanced by the presence of natural killer lytic-associated molecule. In addition, protein levels decrease in the presence of natural killer lytic-associated molecule, suggesting that association with natural killer lytic-associated molecule results in ubiquitination and subsequent degradation of this protein. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants. [provided by RefSeq, Nov 2014]
Gene Name: Uridine-cytidine Kinase 1 Like 1
Chromosome: CHR20: 62571181 -62587800
Locus: 20q13.33
