ARHGAP5-NUBPL Fusion FISH Probe
The ARHGAP5-NUBPL Fusion FISH Probe is used to confirm a fusion of the ARHGAP5 and NUBPL genes. The fusion of the ARHGAP5 and NUBPL genes has been associated with Lung Squamous Cell Carcinoma. These probes are FISH confirmed on normal peripheral blood in both interphase nuclei and metaphase spreads before shipment. Typical turnaround time for this product is 7-14 days after purchase.
** This product is for in vitro and research use only. This product is not intended for diagnostic use. Please note that both genes fall on the same chromosome and inter-chromosomal detection may be difficult to detect depending on the genes proximity to one another. Please consult our support staff before ordering this product to ensure that the probe can be designed to meet your specific needs.

ARHGAP5 Gene Summary
Rho GTPase activating protein 5 negatively regulates RHO GTPases, a family which may mediate cytoskeleton changes by stimulating the hydrolysis of bound GTP. Two transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]
Gene Name: Rho GTPase Activating Protein 5
Chromosome: CHR14: 32546494 -32628934
Locus: 14q12
NUBPL Gene Summary
This gene encodes a member of the Mrp/NBP35 ATP-binding proteins family. The encoded protein is required for the assembly of the respiratory chain NADH dehydrogenase (complex I), an oligomeric enzymatic complex located in the inner mitochondrial membrane. Mutations in this gene cause mitochondrial complex I deficiency. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants. [provided by RefSeq, May 2014]
Gene Name: Nucleotide Binding Protein Like
Chromosome: CHR14: 32030590 -32330429
Locus: 14q12
