ARHGAP5-L2HGDH Fusion FISH Probe
The ARHGAP5-L2HGDH Fusion FISH Probe is used to confirm a fusion of the ARHGAP5 and L2HGDH genes. The fusion of the ARHGAP5 and L2HGDH genes has been associated with Pancreatic Adenocarcinoma. These probes are FISH confirmed on normal peripheral blood in both interphase nuclei and metaphase spreads before shipment. Typical turnaround time for this product is 7-14 days after purchase.
** This product is for in vitro and research use only. This product is not intended for diagnostic use. Please note that both genes fall on the same chromosome and inter-chromosomal detection may be difficult to detect depending on the genes proximity to one another. Please consult our support staff before ordering this product to ensure that the probe can be designed to meet your specific needs.

ARHGAP5 Gene Summary
Rho GTPase activating protein 5 negatively regulates RHO GTPases, a family which may mediate cytoskeleton changes by stimulating the hydrolysis of bound GTP. Two transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]
Gene Name: Rho GTPase Activating Protein 5
Chromosome: CHR14: 32546494 -32628934
Locus: 14q12
L2HGDH Gene Summary
This gene encodes L-2-hydroxyglutarate dehydrogenase, a FAD-dependent enzyme that oxidizes L-2-hydroxyglutarate to alpha-ketoglutarate in a variety of mammalian tissues. Mutations in this gene cause L-2-hydroxyglutaric aciduria, a rare autosomal recessive neurometabolic disorder resulting in moderate to severe cognitive disability. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]
Gene Name: L-2-hydroxyglutarate Dehydrogenase
Chromosome: CHR14: 50709151 -50778947
Locus: 14q21.3
