ARFGEF1-LGR5 Fusion FISH Probe
The ARFGEF1-LGR5 Fusion FISH Probe is used to confirm a fusion of the ARFGEF1 and LGR5 genes. The fusion of the ARFGEF1 and LGR5 genes has been associated with Sarcoma. These probes are FISH confirmed on normal peripheral blood in both interphase nuclei and metaphase spreads before shipment. Typical turnaround time for this product is 7-14 days after purchase.

LGR5 Gene Summary
The protein encoded by this gene is a leucine-rich repeat-containing receptor (LGR) and member of the G protein-coupled, 7-transmembrane receptor (GPCR) superfamily. The encoded protein is a receptor for R-spondins and is involved in the canonical Wnt signaling pathway. This protein plays a role in the formation and maintenance of adult intestinal stem cells during postembryonic development. Several transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Sep 2015]
Gene Name: Leucine Rich Repeat Containing G Protein-coupled Receptor 5
Chromosome: CHR12: 71833812 -71978621
Locus: 12q21.1
ARFGEF1 Gene Summary
ADP-ribosylation factors (ARFs) play an important role in intracellular vesicular trafficking. The protein encoded by this gene is involved in the activation of ARFs by accelerating replacement of bound GDP with GTP. It contains a Sec7 domain, which may be responsible for guanine-nucleotide exchange activity and also brefeldin A inhibition. [provided by RefSeq, Aug 2011]
Gene Name: ADP Ribosylation Factor Guanine Nucleotide Exchange Factor 1
