APPBP2-DNAH17 Fusion FISH Probe
The APPBP2-DNAH17 Fusion FISH Probe is used to confirm a fusion of the APPBP2 and DNAH17 genes. The fusion of the APPBP2 and DNAH17 genes has been associated with Breast Invasive Carcinoma. These probes are FISH confirmed on normal peripheral blood in both interphase nuclei and metaphase spreads before shipment. Typical turnaround time for this product is 7-14 days after purchase.
** This product is for in vitro and research use only. This product is not intended for diagnostic use. Please note that both genes fall on the same chromosome and inter-chromosomal detection may be difficult to detect depending on the genes proximity to one another. Please consult our support staff before ordering this product to ensure that the probe can be designed to meet your specific needs.

DNAH17 Gene Summary
Dyneins are microtubule-associated motor protein complexes composed of several heavy, light, and intermediate chains. DNAH17 is a heavy chain associated with axonemal dynein (Milisav and Affara, 1998 [PubMed 9545504]).[supplied by OMIM, Mar 2008]
Gene Name: Dynein Axonemal Heavy Chain 17
Chromosome: CHR17: 76419777 -76573476
Locus: 17q25.3
APPBP2 Gene Summary
The protein encoded by this gene interacts with microtubules and is functionally associated with beta-amyloid precursor protein transport and/or processing. The beta-amyloid precursor protein is a cell surface protein with signal-transducing properties, and it is thought to play a role in the pathogenesis of Alzheimer's disease. The encoded protein may be involved in regulating cell death. This gene has been found to be highly expressed in breast cancer. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants. Gene Name: Amyloid Beta Precursor Protein Binding Protein 2
Chromosome: CHR17: 58520519 -58603580
Locus: 17q23.2
