AP1M1-PYCR1 Fusion FISH Probe
The AP1M1-PYCR1 Fusion FISH Probe is used to confirm a fusion of the AP1M1 and PYCR1 genes. The fusion of the AP1M1 and PYCR1 genes has been associated with Sarcoma. These probes are FISH confirmed on normal peripheral blood in both interphase nuclei and metaphase spreads before shipment. Typical turnaround time for this product is 7-14 days after purchase.

PYCR1 Gene Summary
This gene encodes an enzyme that catalyzes the NAD(P)H-dependent conversion of pyrroline-5-carboxylate to proline. This enzyme may also play a physiologic role in the generation of NADP(+) in some cell types. The protein forms a homopolymer and localizes to the mitochondrion. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants. [provided by RefSeq, Aug 2013]
Gene Name: Pyrroline-5-carboxylate Reductase 1
Chromosome: CHR17: 79890266 -79894968
Locus: 17q25.3
AP1M1 Gene Summary
The protein encoded by this gene is the medium chain of the trans-Golgi network clathrin-associated protein complex AP-1. The other components of this complex are beta-prime-adaptin, gamma-adaptin, and the small chain AP1S1. This complex is located at the Golgi vesicle and links clathrin to receptors in coated vesicles. These vesicles are involved in endocytosis and Golgi processing. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding distinct protein isoforms have been found for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]
Gene Name: Adaptor Related Protein Complex 1 Mu 1 Subunit
Chromosome: CHR19: 16308664 -16346156
Locus: 19p13.11
