ANO5-CPM Fusion FISH Probe
The ANO5-CPM Fusion FISH Probe is used to confirm a fusion of the ANO5 and CPM genes. The fusion of the ANO5 and CPM genes has been associated with Sarcoma. These probes are FISH confirmed on normal peripheral blood in both interphase nuclei and metaphase spreads before shipment. Typical turnaround time for this product is 7-14 days after purchase.
** This product is for in vitro and research use only. This product is not intended for diagnostic use.

CPM Gene Summary
The protein encoded by this gene is a membrane-bound arginine/lysine carboxypeptidase. Its expression is associated with monocyte to macrophage differentiation. This encoded protein contains hydrophobic regions at the amino and carboxy termini and has 6 potential asparagine-linked glycosylation sites. The active site residues of carboxypeptidases A and B are conserved in this protein. Three alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding the same protein have been described for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]
Gene Name: Carboxypeptidase M
Chromosome: CHR12: 69244955 -69357020
Locus: 12q15
ANO5 Gene Summary
This gene encodes a member of the anoctamin family of transmembrane proteins. The encoded protein is likely a calcium activated chloride channel. Mutations in this gene have been associated with gnathodiaphyseal dysplasia. Alternatively spliced transcript variants have been described. [provided by RefSeq, Nov 2009]
Gene Name: Anoctamin 5
Chromosome: CHR11: 22214721 -22304913
Locus: 11p14.3
