ANO1-CYP2R1 Fusion FISH Probe
The ANO1-CYP2R1 Fusion FISH Probe is used to confirm a fusion of the ANO1 and CYP2R1 genes. The fusion of the ANO1 and CYP2R1 genes has been associated with Breast Invasive Carcinoma. These probes are FISH confirmed on normal peripheral blood in both interphase nuclei and metaphase spreads before shipment. Typical turnaround time for this product is 7-14 days after purchase.
** This product is for in vitro and research use only. This product is not intended for diagnostic use. Please note that both genes fall on the same chromosome and inter-chromosomal detection may be difficult to detect depending on the genes proximity to one another. Please consult our support staff before ordering this product to ensure that the probe can be designed to meet your specific needs.

ANO1 Gene Summary
The Anoctamin 1 (ANO1) gene is located on chr11 :69924407-70035652 at 11q13.3.
Gene Name: Anoctamin 1
Chromosome: CHR11: 69924407 -70035652
Locus: 11q13.3
CYP2R1 Gene Summary
This gene encodes a member of the cytochrome P450 superfamily of enzymes. The cytochrome P450 proteins are monooxygenases which catalyze many reactions involved in drug metabolism and synthesis of cholesterol, steroids and other lipids. This enzyme is a microsomal vitamin D hydroxylase that converts vitamin D into the active ligand for the vitamin D receptor. A mutation in this gene has been associated with selective 25-hydroxyvitamin D deficiency. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]
Gene Name: Cytochrome P450 Family 2 Subfamily R Member 1
