The ALDH3A2-IFNK Fusion FISH Probe is used to confirm a fusion of the ALDH3A2 and IFNK genes. The fusion of the ALDH3A2 and IFNK genes has been associated with Ovarian Serous Cystadenocarcinoma. These probes are FISH confirmed on normal peripheral blood in both interphase nuclei and metaphase spreads before shipment. Typical turnaround time for this product is 7-14 days after purchase.

This gene product catalyzes the oxidation of long-chain aliphatic aldehydes to fatty acid. Mutations in the gene cause Sjogren-Larsson syndrome.
