AKAP10-CCL3 Fusion FISH Probe
The AKAP10-CCL3 Fusion FISH Probe is used to confirm a fusion of the AKAP10 and CCL3 genes. The fusion of the AKAP10 and CCL3 genes has been associated with Sarcoma. These probes are FISH confirmed on normal peripheral blood in both interphase nuclei and metaphase spreads before shipment. Typical turnaround time for this product is 7-14 days after purchase.
** This product is for in vitro and research use only. This product is not intended for diagnostic use. Please note that both genes fall on the same chromosome and inter-chromosomal detection may be difficult to detect depending on the genes proximity to one another. Please consult our support staff before ordering this product to ensure that the probe can be designed to meet your specific needs.

CCL3 Gene Summary
This locus represents a small inducible cytokine. The encoded protein, also known as macrophage inflammatory protein 1 alpha, plays a role in inflammatory responses through binding to the receptors CCR1, CCR4 and CCR5. Polymorphisms at this locus may be associated with both resistance and susceptibility to infection by human immunodeficiency virus type 1.[provided by RefSeq, Sep 2010]
Gene Name: C-C Motif Chemokine Ligand 3
Chromosome: CHR17: 34415602 -34417506
Locus: 17q12
AKAP10 Gene Summary
This gene encodes a member of the A-kinase anchor protein family. A-kinase anchor proteins bind to the regulatory subunits of protein kinase A (PKA) and confine the holoenzyme to discrete locations within the cell. The encoded protein is localized to mitochondria and interacts with both the type I and type II regulatory subunits of PKA. Polymorphisms in this gene may be associated with increased risk of arrhythmias and sudden cardiac death. [provided by RefSeq, May 2012]
Gene Name: A-kinase Anchoring Protein 10
Chromosome: CHR17: 19808749 -19881129
Locus: 17p11.2
