AHRR-CSNK1E Fusion FISH Probe
The AHRR-CSNK1E Fusion FISH Probe is used to confirm a fusion of the AHRR and CSNK1E genes. The fusion of the AHRR and CSNK1E genes has been associated with Skin Cutaneous Melanoma. These probes are FISH confirmed on normal peripheral blood in both interphase nuclei and metaphase spreads before shipment. Typical turnaround time for this product is 7-14 days after purchase.

CSNK1E Gene Summary
The protein encoded by this gene is a serine/threonine protein kinase and a member of the casein kinase I protein family, whose members have been implicated in the control of cytoplasmic and nuclear processes, including DNA replication and repair. The encoded protein is found in the cytoplasm as a monomer and can phosphorylate a variety of proteins, including itself. This protein has been shown to phosphorylate period, a circadian rhythm protein. Two transcript variants encoding the same protein have been found for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Feb 2014]
Gene Name: Casein Kinase 1 Epsilon
Chromosome: CHR22: 38686696 -38714089
Locus: 22q13.1
AHRR Gene Summary
The protein encoded by this gene participates in the aryl hydrocarbon receptor (AhR) signaling cascade, which mediates dioxin toxicity, and is involved in regulation of cell growth and differentiation. It functions as a feedback modulator by repressing AhR-dependent gene expression. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been described for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Jun 2011]
Gene Name: Aryl-hydrocarbon Receptor Repressor
Chromosome: CHR5: 304290 -438405
Locus: 5p15.33
