AGPAT3-PDXK Fusion FISH Probe
The AGPAT3-PDXK Fusion FISH Probe is used to confirm a fusion of the AGPAT3 and PDXK genes. The fusion of the AGPAT3 and PDXK genes has been associated with Breast Invasive Carcinoma, and Stomach Adenocarcinoma. These probes are FISH confirmed on normal peripheral blood in both interphase nuclei and metaphase spreads before shipment. Typical turnaround time for this product is 7-14 days after purchase.
** This product is for in vitro and research use only. This product is not intended for diagnostic use. Please note that both genes fall on the same chromosome and inter-chromosomal detection may be difficult to detect depending on the genes proximity to one another. Please consult our support staff before ordering this product to ensure that the probe can be designed to meet your specific needs.

PDXK Gene Summary
The protein encoded by this gene phosphorylates vitamin B6, a step required for the conversion of vitamin B6 to pyridoxal-5-phosphate, an important cofactor in intermediary metabolism. The encoded protein is cytoplasmic and probably acts as a homodimer. Alternatively spliced transcript variants have been described, but their biological validity has not been determined. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]
Gene Name: Pyridoxal Kinase
Chromosome: CHR21: 45138977 -45182188
Locus: 21q22.3
AGPAT3 Gene Summary
The protein encoded by this gene is an acyltransferase that converts lysophosphatidic acid into phosphatidic acid, which is the second step in the de novo phospholipid biosynthetic pathway. The encoded protein may be an integral membrane protein. Two transcript variants encoding the same protein have been found for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]
Gene Name: 1-acylglycerol-3-phosphate O-acyltransferase 3
Chromosome: CHR21: 45285115 -45407475
Locus: 21q22.3
