AGFG1-TET3 Fusion FISH Probe
The AGFG1-TET3 Fusion FISH Probe is used to confirm a fusion of the AGFG1 and TET3 genes. The fusion of the AGFG1 and TET3 genes has been associated with Prostate Adenocarcinoma. These probes are FISH confirmed on normal peripheral blood in both interphase nuclei and metaphase spreads before shipment. Typical turnaround time for this product is 7-14 days after purchase.
** This product is for in vitro and research use only. This product is not intended for diagnostic use. Please note that both genes fall on the same chromosome and inter-chromosomal detection may be difficult to detect depending on the genes proximity to one another. Please consult our support staff before ordering this product to ensure that the probe can be designed to meet your specific needs.

AGFG1 Gene Summary
The protein encoded by this gene is related to nucleoporins, a class of proteins that mediate nucleocytoplasmic transport. The encoded protein binds the activation domain of the human immunodeficiency virus Rev protein when Rev is assembled onto its RNA target, and is required for the nuclear export of Rev-directed RNAs. Multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Sep 2008]
Gene Name: ArfGAP With FG Repeats 1
Chromosome: CHR2: 228336887 -228425938

TET3 Gene Summary
Members of the ten-eleven translocation (TET) gene family, including TET3, play a role in the DNA methylation process (Langemeijer et al., 2009 [PubMed 19923888]).[supplied by OMIM, Nov 2010]
