ADD1-PCGF3 Fusion FISH Probe
The ADD1-PCGF3 Fusion FISH Probe is used to confirm a fusion of the ADD1 and PCGF3 genes. The fusion of the ADD1 and PCGF3 genes has been associated with Uterine Corpus Endometrial Carcinoma. These probes are FISH confirmed on normal peripheral blood in both interphase nuclei and metaphase spreads before shipment. Typical turnaround time for this product is 7-14 days after purchase.
** This product is for in vitro and research use only. This product is not intended for diagnostic use. Please note that both genes fall on the same chromosome and inter-chromosomal detection may be difficult to detect depending on the genes proximity to one another. Please consult our support staff before ordering this product to ensure that the probe can be designed to meet your specific needs.

ADD1 Gene Summary
Adducins are a family of cytoskeletal proteins encoded by three genes (alpha, beta, and gamma). Adducin acts as a heterodimer of the related alpha, beta, or gamma subunits. The protein encoded by this gene represents the alpha subunit. Alpha- and beta-adducin include a protease-resistant N-terminal region and a protease-sensitive, hydrophilic C-terminal region. Adducin binds with high affinity to Ca(2+)/calmodulin and is a substrate for protein kinases A and C. [provided by RefSeq, Aug 2017]
Gene Name: Adducin 1
Chromosome: CHR4: 2845583 -2931802
Locus: 4p16.3
PCGF3 Gene Summary
The protein encoded by this gene contains a C3HC4 type RING finger, which is a motif known to be involved in protein-protein interactions. The specific function of this protein has not yet been determined. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]
Gene Name: Polycomb Group Ring Finger 3
Chromosome: CHR4: 699572 -764427
Locus: 4p16.3
