ADCY9-TEAD4 Fusion FISH Probe
The ADCY9-TEAD4 Fusion FISH Probe is used to confirm a fusion of the ADCY9 and TEAD4 genes. The fusion of the ADCY9 and TEAD4 genes has been associated with Brain Lower Grade Glioma. These probes are FISH confirmed on normal peripheral blood in both interphase nuclei and metaphase spreads before shipment. Typical turnaround time for this product is 7-14 days after purchase.

ADCY9 Gene Summary
Adenylate cyclase is a membrane bound enzyme that catalyses the formation of cyclic AMP from ATP. It is regulated by a family of G protein-coupled receptors, protein kinases, and calcium. The type 9 adenylyl cyclase is a widely distributed adenylyl cyclase, and it is stimulated by beta-adrenergic receptor activation but is insensitive to forskolin, calcium, and somatostatin. Gene Name: Adenylate Cyclase 9
Chromosome: CHR16: 4012649 -4166186
Locus: 16p13.3
TEAD4 Gene Summary
This gene product is a member of the transcriptional enhancer factor (TEF) family of transcription factors, which contain the TEA/ATTS DNA-binding domain. It is preferentially expressed in the skeletal muscle, and binds to the M-CAT regulatory element found in promoters of muscle-specific genes to direct their gene expression. Alternatively spliced transcripts encoding distinct isoforms, some of which are translated through the use of a non-AUG (UUG) initiation codon, have been described for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]
Gene Name: TEA Domain Transcription Factor 4
Chromosome: CHR12: 3068477 -3149842
Locus: 12p13.33
