ADCY1-EYA4 Fusion FISH Probe
The ADCY1-EYA4 Fusion FISH Probe is used to confirm a fusion of the ADCY1 and EYA4 genes. The fusion of the ADCY1 and EYA4 genes has been associated with Breast Invasive Carcinoma. These probes are FISH confirmed on normal peripheral blood in both interphase nuclei and metaphase spreads before shipment. Typical turnaround time for this product is 7-14 days after purchase.

ADCY1 Gene Summary
This gene encodes a member of the of adenylate cyclase gene family that is primarily expressed in the brain. This protein is regulated by calcium/calmodulin concentration and may be involved in brain development. Alternate splicing results in multiple transcript variants. [provided by RefSeq, Aug 2013]
Gene Name: Adenylate Cyclase 1
Chromosome: CHR7: 45614124 -45762714
Locus: 7p12.3
EYA4 Gene Summary
This gene encodes a member of the eyes absent (EYA) family of proteins. The encoded protein may act as a transcriptional activator through its protein phosphatase activity, and it may be important for eye development, and for continued function of the mature organ of Corti. Mutations in this gene are associated with postlingual, progressive, autosomal dominant hearing loss at the deafness, autosomal dominant non-syndromic sensorineural 10 locus. The encoded protein is also a putative oncogene that mediates DNA repair, apoptosis, and innate immunity following DNA damage, cellular damage, and viral attack. Defects in this gene are also associated with dilated cardiomyopathy 1J. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants encoding distinct isoforms. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2014]
Gene Name: EYA Transcriptional Coactivator And Phosphatase 4
Chromosome: CHR6: 133562494 -133853258
Locus: 6q23.2
