ACO2-ZC3H7B Fusion FISH Probe
The ACO2-ZC3H7B Fusion FISH Probe is used to confirm a fusion of the ACO2 and ZC3H7B genes. The fusion of the ACO2 and ZC3H7B genes has been associated with Lung Squamous Cell Carcinoma, and Breast Invasive Carcinoma. These probes are FISH confirmed on normal peripheral blood in both interphase nuclei and metaphase spreads before shipment. Typical turnaround time for this product is 7-14 days after purchase.
** This product is for in vitro and research use only. This product is not intended for diagnostic use. Please note that both genes fall on the same chromosome and inter-chromosomal detection may be difficult to detect depending on the genes proximity to one another. Please consult our support staff before ordering this product to ensure that the probe can be designed to meet your specific needs.

ACO2 Gene Summary
The protein encoded by this gene belongs to the aconitase/IPM isomerase family. It is an enzyme that catalyzes the interconversion of citrate to isocitrate via cis-aconitate in the second step of the TCA cycle. This protein is encoded in the nucleus and functions in the mitochondrion. It was found to be one of the mitochondrial matrix proteins that are preferentially degraded by the serine protease 15(PRSS15), also known as Lon protease, after oxidative modification. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]
Gene Name: Aconitase 2
Chromosome: CHR22: 41865128 -41924993
Locus: 22q13.2
ZC3H7B Gene Summary
This gene encodes a protein that contains a tetratricopeptide repeat domain. The encoded protein also interacts with the rotavirus non-structural protein NSP3. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]
Gene Name: Zinc Finger CCCH-type Containing 7B
Chromosome: CHR22: 41697566 -41756151
Locus: 22q13.2
