The NISH HPV High Risk Probe is a dual-probe in situ hybridization (ISH) assay designed for the qualitative detection of E6/E7 mRNA transcripts from 18 high-risk human papillomavirus (HPV) genotypes — including types 16, 18, 26, 31, 33, 35, 39, 45, 51, 52, 53, 56, 58, 59, 66, 68, 73, and 82 — in formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded (FFPE) tissue sections. By targeting E6/E7 mRNA rather than HPV DNA, this assay enables detection of active viral transcription at the cellular level, providing researchers with functional insight into HPV expression within preserved tissue morphology. The broad genotype coverage of the dual-probe format (HPV HR A & B) supports wide-spectrum high-risk HPV research in a single assay. Powered by HCR™ Pro, the NISH HPV High Risk Probe generates high-sensitivity chromogenic signal with low background. The probe is supplied ready-to-use and integrates with the NISH HRP and AP Detection Kit and NISH DAB or Red Kit on the NeoPath Pro Automated Stainer. For Research Use Only.
