ONCORE Pro CytoFISH Multiplex FISH Probe

The CytoFISH Multiplex Probe is a powerful, ready-to-use probe cocktail optimized for automated cytology-based FISH on the ONCORE Pro® Automated Slide Stainer. This probe is designed for the detection of chromosomal abnormalities commonly associated with bladder cancer and provides a high-throughput solution for analyzing urinary specimens with precision and efficiency.

The probe cocktail contains four fluorescently labeled targets:

  • 5p15.2 (red)

Amplification at 5p15.2 has been strongly associated with high-grade, advanced-stage bladder tumors and aggressive tumor proliferation.(1) In addition, cytogenetic analysis has shown that alterations involving the 5p region—including translocations and isochromosome formation—occur frequently in urothelial tumors(2).

Meanwhile, gains at chromosomes 3, 7, and 10 are observed more often in invasive forms of urothelial carcinoma.(3) By detecting these recurrent chromosomal gains and amplifications, the CytoFISH Multiplex Probe offers a valuable tool for identifying malignant transformations in urinary cytology.
