The CytoFISH Multiplex FISH Probe is a powerful ready-to-use multiplex probe cocktail optimized for automated cytology-based FISH analysis. Probe Targets

The CytoFISH Multiplex Probe contains four fluorescently labeled targets:

Copy Control 10 – Green
Copy Control 7 – Orange

5p15.2 – Red

Chromosomal Targets Associated with Urothelial Tumors

Amplification of 5p15.2 has been strongly associated with high-grade, advanced-stage bladder tumors and increased tumor proliferation.(1) Cytogenetic studies have also shown that alterations involving the 5p region, including translocations and isochromosome formation, occur frequently in urothelial tumors.(2)

In addition, copy number gains of chromosomes 3, 7, and 10 are commonly observed in more invasive forms of urothelial carcinoma.(3) Detecting these recurrent chromosomal changes allows researchers and laboratories to identify abnormal cell populations within urinary cytology samples.
