Whether you’re placing a domestic order or coordinating an international shipment, the information below outlines everything you need to know — from cutoff times and handling fees to return guidelines and commercial rights for custom products.

Conditions of Sale and Purchase Price

All prices are quoted in U.S. dollars, exclusive of State and County tax, where ­applicable. Prices are subject to change without notice. All prices presented are US list price, for sale to clients in the Domestic US only. Please see your international distributor for country specific pricing. Ownership and Commercial Rights of Custom Products

All custom products manufactured by Empire Genomics remain its exclusive property and may be made commercially available unless otherwise agreed in writing before production. The customer acknowledges that no ownership or intellectual property rights are transferred.

Credit Terms

Net 30 upon approval. Overdue accounts are subject to finance charge.

Shipping Cut-off Times

Orders placed for in stock products before 1:00 PM EST will be shipped the same day, orders placed for in stock products placed after 1:00 PM EST will be shipped the following business day.

Shipping Costs

All Shipping costs are estimated and as such shipping costs may either go up or go down based on the number of items ordered.

Using your own FedEx or DHL account Number

When using your own FedEx or DHL shipping account number, shipping cost may increase or decrease based on the negotiated shipping rates you have with either FedEx or DHL.

Handling Fees

The handling fee covers such things as the ice, boxes and packing materials that are required with all shipments.

International Ordering

Online orders may only be placed if shipping within the continental United States; for orders outside of the US please contact one of our international distributors.

Shipping & Priority Delivery

All shipments are Ex Works. Freight and handling charges must be prepaid and are added to the invoice. Priority and Saturday delivery are available upon request.

Cancellation & Returns Policy

Because many Empire Genomics products are custom-manufactured or made-to-order, cancellations and returns are handled based on the order’s production and shipping status.

Order Cancellations

An “order cancellation” means the order is stopped before shipment and no product is returned.

Before Production Begins

Orders may be cancelled at no charge if the cancellation request is received before production starts.

After Production Has Started

Once production has started, materials and manufacturing resources have been committed and may not be recoverable. Cancellation fees apply as follows:

• Early production: 25% of the total order value
• Mid-production: 50% of the total order value
• Late production / Quality Control (QC) initiated: 75% of the total order value

Completed or Shipped Orders

Orders that have been completed or shipped cannot be cancelled and will be invoiced at 100% of the order value.

Turnaround Times

Any turnaround times provided are good-faith estimates and are not guaranteed unless expressly stated in writing. Cancellation requests due to turnaround time after production has begun are subject to the cancellation fees above.

How to Request a Cancellation or Return

Please contact Customer Service as soon as possible with your order number and company name. We will confirm the current production/shipping status and the applicable next steps.

Discretion

Empire Genomics reserves the right, at its discretion, to reduce or waive cancellation fees in cases of Empire-caused delays or other mitigating circumstances.

Returns

If you are not completely satisfied with the performance of a product, you may return it to Empire Genomics for a refund or replacement, at our discretion. Returns can only be accepted with a return identification number and authorization. Contact Customer Service for assistance in returning any product. (Returns which are not caused by unsatisfactory product performance must be approved by Empire in advance and made within 30 days of delivery and will be subject to a 30% restocking fee.)
