TUNAR FISH Probe

The TUNAR FISH probe is designed to hybridize to the TUNAR gene and is primarily used for detecting amplifications and deletions associated with the gene. This probe is FISH confirmed on normal peripheral blood metaphase spreads and interphase nuclei. The probe can be labeled in one of five colors. Each probe is sold in a 20 test kit (approximately 20 slides - 22x22 mm area) and includes hybridization buffer. Please note that due to design optimizations, prices are subject to change.

Gene Summary

This gene produces a spliced long non-coding RNA that may play a role in maintaining pluripotency and the neural differentiation of embryonic stem cells. Expression of this lncRNA in the caudate nucleus of brains from Huntington's Disease patients has been found to decrease as the disease progresses. It has also been suggested that this transcript may play a role in the progression of breast cancer. Alternatively spliced transcript variants have been identified. [provided by RefSeq, Aug 2015]
