TCHH FISH Probe
The TCHH FISH probe is designed to hybridize to the TCHH gene and is primarily used for detecting amplifications and deletions associated with the gene. This probe is FISH confirmed on normal peripheral blood metaphase spreads and interphase nuclei. The probe can be labeled in one of five colors. Each probe is sold in a 20 test kit (approximately 20 slides - 22x22 mm area) and includes hybridization buffer. Please note that due to design optimizations, prices are subject to change.

Gene Summary
The protein encoded by this gene forms crosslinked complexes with itself and keratin intermediate filaments to provide mechanical strength to the hair follicle inner root sheath. The encoded protein also is important for structural integrity of the filiform papillae of the tongue. Defects in this gene are a cause of uncombable hair syndrome. [provided by RefSeq, Feb 2017]
