ICE2 FISH Probe

The ICE2 FISH probe is designed to hybridize to the ICE2 gene and is primarily used for detecting amplifications and deletions associated with the gene. This probe is FISH confirmed on normal peripheral blood metaphase spreads and interphase nuclei. The probe can be labeled in one of five colors. Each probe is sold in a 20 test kit (approximately 20 slides - 22x22 mm area) and includes hybridization buffer. Please note that due to design optimizations, prices are subject to change.

Gene Summary

This gene encodes a protein component of the little elongation complex (LEC), which plays a role in small nuclear RNA (snRNA) transcription. The LEC regulates snRNA transcription by enhancing both RNA Polymerase II occupancy and transcriptional elongation. The encoded protein and other LEC components have been shown to localize to Cajal bodies, which are sites of ribonucleoprotein (RNP) complex assembly. Pseudogenes of this gene have been identified on chromosomes 3 and 4. [provided by RefSeq, May 2017]
