PDL1/Con9 FISH Probe
Empire Genomics’ PDL1-Control 9 FISH probe is designed to detect the PDL1 gene at chromosomal region 9p24.1 and the long arm of chromosome 9 at 9q21.33. The probe comes labeled in orange and green, but can be customized to meet your needs.
Gene Background: Programmed death receptor 1 (PD-1) protein is a cell-surface receptor found on certain lymphocytes. The interaction between PD-1 and its ligand, programmed death ligand 1 (PD-L1), plays an essential regulatory role in the human immune system by inhibiting the body’s immune response to foreign antigens. However, many tumor types take advantage of the protein’s immune evasion by expressing PD-L1 on their cell surface, thereby activating PD-1/PD-L1 signaling to effectively dodge immune recognition.
